CAPE TOWN - 10 NIGHT SELF DRIVE ITINERARY
Day 1 ~ Welcome to Cape Town

On arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met by one of our representatives who will direct you to your hire car, complete with local city and area maps. Drive the short distance to the city of Cape Town and check in to the four star Bantry Bay Luxury Suites Hotel, located in the popular beachside suburb of Bantry Bay. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing and acclimatising.

Day 2 ~ Milnerton Golf Club (18 holes, Par 72, 5788 metres)

After a night of rest and recuperation, travel to Milnerton Golf Club and play the only true 'Links' course in South Africa. Set in a beautiful location on the shores of Table Bay with Table Mountain and the ocean as constant backdrops, which is enough to take the mind off any round that is not quite up to scratch. After the golf, we would suggest spending the remainder of the day on Bloubergstrand, taking in the stunning panoramic scenery of Table Bay and Table Mountain.
Overnight - Bantry Bay Luxury Suites Hotel, Bantry Bay

Day 3 ~ Erinvale Golf Club (18 holes, Par 72, 5892 metres)

A morning round of golf at the Erinvale Country Club, home to the 1996 World Cup of Golf, and magnificently situated on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountains overlooking vineyards and the False Bay coastline. After the golf, we would suggest a tour of the adjacent Vergelegen Wine Estate.

Day 4 ~ Steenberg Golf Club (18 holes, Par 72, 6424 metres)

Migrate to the suburban area of Tokai and play a morning 18 holes at Steenberg Country Club, beautifully laid out in a vineyard setting, surrounded by the Constantiaberg mountains on the one side, and False Bay on the other. After your golf, we would recommend driving to the historic naval town of Simon's Town, and the ever popular penguin colony, before heading to the natural attractions of the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and the many viewpoints around Cape Point.

Day 5 ~ Non-Golfing Day - Suggested Sightseeing: City Tour and V&A Waterfront

In the morning, perhaps embark on a city orientation tour, including a stroll around the Company (Dutch East India) Gardens, the historical centre of the "mother city", and visit the nearby craft market on Greenmarket Square. Visit the Muslim Bo-Kaap area on the slopes of Signal Hill before driving to the top for the scenic views over the city and Table Bay. In the afternoon, take the opportunity to explore the fantastic V&A Waterfront. This working harbour and shopping/entertainment development has become Cape Town's and South Africa's best visited tourist attraction. Some of the many attractions are the Two Oceans Aquarium, the IMAX cinema with its 5-storey screen specializing in spectacular nature documentaries, SA Maritime Museum, and over 350 shops, boutiques and restaurants.

Day 6 ~ Royal Cape Golf Club (18 holes, Par 72, 5787 metres)

A morning round of golf at the Royal Cape Golf Club, one of the oldest Clubs in the country which still retains a hint of its colonial past, and is a very pleasant test of golfing skills. In the afternoon we would suggest getting the birds eye view of the peninsula and taking the aerial cableway to the top of Table Mountain for the 360 degree panoramic views.

Day 7 ~ Paarl Golf Club (18 holes, Par 74, 6258 metres)

Head out into the winelands again, and take the opportunity to browse around the historic university town of Stellenbosch. Possibly a casual wine estate lunch before enjoying an afternoon round at Paarl Golf Club, laid out among pine trees and situated on the banks of the Berg River.

Day 8 ~ Non-Golfing Day - Suggested Sightseeing: Robben Island and Kirstenbosch Gardens

Take the boat across from Table Bay to Robben Island, and take a conducted tour of this former prison island, including listening to the experiences of a former political prisoner, as well as viewing the cell where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. In the afternoon, perhaps spend a pleasant few hours wandering around the internationally renowned Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, situated on the slopes of Table Mountain, and forming part of the estate of Cecil John Rhodes. This enormous area which comprises beautifully manicured gardens, natural, unspoiled walks on the forested mountain slopes, and over 8000 different plant species, deserves more than a mere passing visit. Complete with an informative visitors centre, it is no wonder that Kirstenbosch Gardens consistently appears in the top 10 attractions in South Africa.

Day 9 ~ Mowbray Golf Club (18 holes, Par 74, 5903 metres)

In the morning play a round of golf at the well laid out suburban course of Mowbray Golf Club, which has one of the most picturesque par 4's in the world, according to Gary Player! After the golf, we would suggest driving back into Cape Town and along the coast to the bustling harbour town of Hout Bay, which will give you a taste of the fabulous coastal scenery around Cape Town.

Day 10 ~ Stellenbosch Golf Club (18 holes, Par 74, 6149 metres)

After breakfast, head into the heart of the Stellenbosch winelands to play a round at one of the most picturesque courses in the Western Cape. Stellenbosch Golf Club has hosted both the SA Open and the Masters Championship, and is a true challenge for any golfer. Having completed the golf, we would recommend a visit to the Spier Wine Estate, which is en-route back to Cape Town. Spier is host to superb restaurants and acclaimed wines. Showcasing more than 200 local and international estates, the Spier Wine Centre is a haven for wine-lovers. Spier has also made land availiable to a group of hand raised cheetahs in the care of the Cheetah Outreach Programme. Learn more about these incredible cats from a distance, or get up close and personal and even step inside the enclosure.

After checking out of the Hotel, the final day is at leisure to either finish that last minute shopping, or merely relax until the time of departure for Cape Town International Airport, returning the hire vehicle and boarding the overnight flight back to Heathrow.
