David Short Golf Tours - Tour 1 - Cape Town and The Winelands

Wednesday 8th November - Arrivals
On arrival at Cape Town Airport you will be met and transferred to the 4 star Portswood Hotel on South Africa's famous V&A Waterfront. Spend the afternoon settling into the Capetonian way of life, or enjoy an optional City Tour. Overnight at the Portswood Hotel, V&A Waterfront

Thursday 9th November - Clovelly Golf Club
The first round of golf is at the Clovelly Country Club, one of Southern Africa's most picturesque and challenging courses. One of the most enjoyable courses in the Cape, Clovelly is a wonderful way to start the golf on tour. Overnight at the Portswood Hotel, V&A Waterfront

Friday 10th November - Mowbray Golf Club
Enjoy 18 holes at Mowbray Golf Club, set at the foot of Table Mountain and renowned for its breathtaking views, lush fairways and immaculate greens. Overnight at the Portswood Hotel, V&A Waterfront

Saturday 11th November - Hermanus, whales, opera and Stellenbosch
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to Hermanus, one of the most picturesque and unique towns in South Africa. Whilst famous for whale viewing at this time of year, equally fascinating are the locals singing opera in the main town square! From Hermanus, travel to Stellenbosch and check in at the tranquil Devon Vale Hotel, located in the heart of the Winelands. Overnight at the Protea Hotel Devon Valley

Sunday 12th November - De Zalze Golf Club
A great favourite with golfers, De Zalze is overlooked by the towering Helderberg Mountains and surrounded by rolling vineyards and orange groves. The Blaawklippen River meanders through the course and each of the 18 holes offers its own unique challenge. Overnight at the Protea Hotel Devon Valley

Monday 13th November - Arabella Golf Club
Jutting out into the lagoon, this beautiful undulating course encompasses the mountain backdrops, lagoon frontage and forests on the Aravella Estate. Overnight at the Protea Hotel Devon Valley

Tuesday 14th November - Day at leisure
Either spend the day relaxing at the hotel and exploring the wine farm on which it is situated, or perhaps join a Winelands Tour. Overnight at the Protea Hotel Devon Valley

Wednesday 15th November - Stellenbosch Golf Club
The golf today is at Stellenbosch Golf Club, one of the best golf courses in South Africa. The course has hosted, among other tournaments, the South African Masters and the South African Open. Overnight at the Protea Hotel Devon Valley

Thursday 16th November - Erinvale Golf Club
Arguably the most well known course in the Winelands, Erinvale hosted the 1996 World Cup of Golf. The front 9 holes are built on flat terrain with challenging holes made more difficult by strategic water hazards and an array of different style bunkers. The back 9 holes are on undulating high ground. Here the scenic splendor might distract the players from the continuing challenge. Again, water and bunkers are the main features with the added test of sloping lies. Overnight at the Protea Hotel Devon Valley

Friday 17th November - Departures, or onto Fancourt!
If you are leaving the tour at this stage, you will be transferred back to the Airport for your flight home. Alternatively, if you are staying for Tour 2, you will be transferred from Stellenbosch to the world famous Fancourt Resort.
